Congress on the Eph/ephrin system-Third congress on the Eph/ephrin system

Third congress on the Eph/ephrin system

Date to be announced, 2021. Montreal, Canada

August 20, 2020 Dear colleagues: As COVID-19 is still rampaging through many parts of the world, our hope to have the EPH/EFN Congress in the fall of 2020 is fast fading. Since this is an international Congress, we can only convene once the pandemic is basically under control, and there are no longer travel restrictions in most parts of the world, and the meeting attendees feel safe to travel. We hope all these will happen in 2021, although at this time, we do not have a precise date yet. Once the situation is clearer, the Organizing Committee will discuss and decide a suitable time. We will inform you at least six months before the scheduled date. For those who have already registered for the Congress, you will remain registered, and no action on your part is needed. Despite the delay, we are committed to convening an exciting EPH/EFN Congress in Montreal. We are looking forward to meeting you in the near future in Montreal, alive and in good spirits.

Jiangping Wu, MD and Ph.D.
Coordinator The 3rd Congress of the EPH/EFN System

Welcome to Montreal!

After 2 successful meetings in Parma, Italy, the Congress on the EPH/ephrins System is moving to Montreal, Canada for its 3rd biannual meeting from June 1 to 2, 2020. The research on EPH/ephrins started from the central nervous system and then spread to almost all other systems in biology. Currently, more than 700 labs in the world are studying different aspects of the EPH/ephrins molecules. Like the first two meetings, this 3rd Congress will provide a platform for EPH/ephrin researchers to exchange latest information in the field, get inspiration from unexpected findings by colleagues, and establish collaboration all around the world. Montreal has two major universities, the University of Montreal, and the McGill University, each having its own brand-new affiliated super hospitals, both of which were constructed in the recent 1-2 years. CHUM is the one affiliated to the University of Montreal (CHUM stands for Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal). The Congress will be held in the modern conference facility of the CHUM Research Center. The auditorium has a capacity of 220 seats, and the adjacent spacious agora is available for poster sessions, meals and coffee breaks. Montreal is the second largest French-speaking city in the world, after Paris. It has the charm of France mixed with a modern North America flavor. June is one of the most beautiful months to explore the history, culture and scenery of Montreal. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we extend our warm welcome to all the EPH/ephrin researchers around the world to the 3rd Congress on the EPH/ephrins System. Come to explore EPH/ephrins, and come to explore Montreal in 2020! See you in Montreal.
